In ancient Greece and Rome, it was used in perfumes, incense, and medicine. In the Bible, it is one of the gifts brought by the Magi to the baby Jesus. In traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic medicine, it is used to treat a variety of ailments. Today, myrrh is still used in perfumes, incense, and alternative medicine.
