Not only is this clay a pretty mauve color, it has wonderful soothing, stress-relieving properties. The natural minerals in Mauve Clay help to prevent tension and are excellent in products for people with oily skin. You can make a facial masque by adding any liquid to it; allow it to dry, rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.

NOTE: When using clay as a colorant, it should not be used dry but as a slurry. If using in soap, use some of the lye water before the lye is added so your soap is not water heavy (which makes it take a very long time to cure).
